About Me
I’m a writer, mom, reader, feminist, pop culture junkie and newly minted librarian.
I've worked at a ski resort, a library, a university, a youth shelter and a coffee shop, among other places. Current obsessions include mystery novels, YA of all stripes, horror/thriller films and the conviction that Buddhism would be the perfect philosophy if you didn't have to reject all attachments to achieve Nirvana.
I live in the Happy Valley of Western Massachusetts with my family.

ReplyDeleteDear Tarah,
ReplyDeleteI'm an author with a new collection of YA short stories, Ugly To Start With (West Virginia University Press).
Will you please consider reviewing it?
I've been writing and publishing for twenty years--more than one hundred stories and two novels--and Ugly To Start With is my best work.
My first novel, The Night I Freed John Brown (Penguin), won The Paterson Prize for Fiction and was recommended by USA Today.
My short stories have appeared in more than seventy-five literary journals, including North American Review, The Kenyon Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, and The Chattahoochee Review. Twice I have been nominated for The Pushcart Prize. "The Scratchboard Project" received an honorable mention in The Best American Short Stories 2007.
If you write me back at johnmcummings@aol.com, I’ll send you a PDF of my collection for your consideration.
At this point, my small publisher is out of available review copies, so I hope and politely ask that you consider the PDF.
I would be very grateful.
Thank you so much.
John Michael Cummings
Hello,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Jordana Lizama, I am a first time author and have recently finished my novel Sophia:Within, which is the first of a series and is now available on Amazon.
I'm really excited to have my book published and I wanted to know if you would be so kind to write a review on it, if you are interested I can send you a review copy of my book, either in PDF or MOBI format, whichever way you prefer.
Also, if you want it would be great if we can do a giveaway of my book on your site, if you think this is a good idea you can setup the giveaway any way you want and I will send an electronic gift of my kindle book to whoever the winner is along with a digital dedication.
I enclose the book description, just so you can get an idea of what the novel is about. And the link to Amazon.
Only time will tell if Sophia, Alec and the world are ready to accept the mission that has been passed down for many generations. This is more than a story of reincarnation. This is a story that never ended following the reign of the Greek gods.
What has been hidden for thousands of years is about to surface in a small New England town. The impact on this rural village is ageless, but only the chosen time travelers know what is happening, the reason it is happening and how to control the outcome.
The Men of Ages have walked the Earth unnoticed since the time of Greek mythology and have kept their ancient war alive by transporting the lead warrior in a most unusual time machine. There is only one way to stop the cataclysmic demise of the human race and Sophia is the answer. But, Sophia is a teenage girl faced with many human and nonhuman desires that create a tortuous path from antiquity to the present day. Love conquers all; or, so it seems.
