Advent Calendar

Bored? Looking for a seaonally themed way to procrastinate? Check out some of the best, worst, and weirdest Christmas related sites out there:

Though browsing through the collections is like taking a trip back in time to bad site design circa 10 years ago, there's something satisfying about snarking on crazy Christmas decorations.

The picture at right of a deer strung up on a tree vomiting blood is but a taste of their offerings.

2. National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

I recommend starting at about the 7:50 mark, to skip all the speechifying, unless that's your thing.

3. Be an Elf

Here's some Christmas make believe with a message. From their website: "At 75 postal branches across the US, you can read real letters to Santa from needy kids, take home one or more that move you and send your gifts." Who doesn't want to be an elf?

4. The Christmas Resistance Movement

Feeling a little Grinchy? You have found your tribe.

Have you gotten a little smug about your Christmas crafts and decor? Check out Martha's slide show of gingerbread houses that actual human beings supposedly made and bow down.
